God's Gardening Project - Learning Patience and Receiving Help

Gardening teaches you a lot about patience, but the help I have received and needed to move forward with the garden, has also been a great analogy to me as to the little gifts and assistance God gives you to encourage you on your way...

It (patience) is not, really something I am very good at. But the garden in my new(ish) home is teaching me to enjoy small things, appreciate the little things, celebrate the journey and the evolution of the garden itself rather than wishing I was at my destination yesterday!

Evolving that garden takes work and I have found myself very grateful and surprised by friends that have really taken and interest and wanted to help with the garden and share fellowship and laughter there ( moments with friends that have really been blessed and full of love) ... And I have really needed it- as I had been a bit worried that it was not something I could do alone or even know where to begin. I do feel in this area God has made sure I have plenty of support - that my fear of not managing it alone or not doing it well enough has been covered by Him.

So a little like my journey with Him spirtually, where I need Him to help me evolve myself and develop, I find myself dependent on that help to move things along, whilst accepting that it will take time, and as I stumble over myself, my 'old' self so I can be more and more of what God wants me to be.. here too He helps, ( with very different types of gifts) whether they are opportunties at Church, reminders to pray, or a worship CD lent to me by a friend, they are gifts and assistance that are given by Him to move me forward...

It is reassuring to know that God accepts you and love you where you are, but that He has lovingly made plan for us - plans He has to cultivate our potential and which He helps us toward ...

And here's a picture of my little apple tree blossoms coming out...

They greeted me this time last year when I moved into my new home, fully opened and looking not unlike the beautiful pink blossoms on my Bible!
