Not Settling For Second Best

I had this vivid and strange dream last night. I was trying to get somewhere for something but it was not revealed to me what that thing was. To get there i took the most arduous path, to my left was some kind of strange graveyard of tombstones, and overgrown flowers and paths, and people were clambering over this terrain to water flowers and just basically wander around and visit, I guess specific tombstones, spilling out onto the path/road in front of me, were people, stones, rocks, garden gnomes (!), things that were getting in the way of me trying to get to what it was I was trying to find. It was really hard workm - I was stumbling over stones, trying not to make a mess.

However I got through it all, and I found that I was in a cobblers place and I realised that I was looking for a simple yet beautiful silver bracelet that had my name on it... And yet the bracelets I found were large, or too gaudy or not even silver, they were coloured plastic whereby you could slip your name tag in it and I was trying to work out whether that would be ok, that I would have to make do with it...

I think God does not want us to make do. God wants us to find what is for us,  and what He has for us is perfect. He does not want us struggle through life, go through all we have, only to pick up second best and make do. What  He has for us, has our name written all over it and that is what we should take hold of.

I felt this was a very specific answer to some thinking I had been having recently, but I think it is important to share, in case any of you reading this should be able to identify...

Louise.
